The Letter of the Week: E

Math Focus: Basic Addition; reinforcement

Monday:

We will begin with an introduction to the letter E. Boober should be fairly familiar with E as it is in his name. We will be doing more of a review of writing it and a do a dot identify sheet. We will also be having dinosaur egg oatmeal for breakfast to introduce our theme of the week: DINOSAURS.

Tuesday:

I bought neat little bath bombs with dinosaurs encased inside in the bath section of Wal-Mart. We will be hatching our eggs in tubs of water today. We have several good sized tubs we use for sensory play.

Wednesday:

Today is the farmers market. It is supposed to rain here, so we will probably not be spending a lot of time at the market. Boober and I will be hunting for the Letter of the Week all day. I will be carrying a little notebook to keep score of who spots more Letter E's.

Thursday:

I will be working a 12 hour shift Thursday so Boober will work independently on ABC Mouse of Letter E.

Friday:

We will be working out of workbooks today, and watching Dinosaur Train. We will also be making our fossils today.

To help with our Unit Study on Dinosaurs we are using this Dinosaur Unit Study Packet from Only Passionate Curiosity.

Our plan is to read this book: T. Rex: Joey's Wacky Encyclopedia of Weird Facts; which is free right now on Amazon

And of course of Look and Learn books which we are often able to find for Free or $1 on Amazon are a good choice for Animal unit studies and they have a book on Dinosaurs as well. We will read this one: Dinosaurs: Learn About Dinosaurs and Enjoy Colorful Pictures.
