6 Easy Ways to Attract More Page Views

I have been promoting my blog and subsequently my store for two months. So far I have managed to get 7000 page views for the last month. While I don’t consider myself an expert, I also don’t think that is bad starting out. So I would like to offer a little blogging advice:

1. Be passionate about what you are blogging about. I blog about fashion, my life and my store. I love talking about Penelope Lane Clothing because it is something so close to my heart. I built it from the ground up. I have passion when I write about it. It is engaging to others because your enthusiasm can be translated through your words. Don’t be afraid to lay it all out on the line and speak from your heart.

2. Be absolutely honest with your readers about everything you say. People are smart. They will call you on your bullshit and they will stop reading. That is all I should need to say about that.

3. Advertise. You don’t have to purchase ads, get creative. Ask other bloggers about doing guest posts. You can also offer buttons swaps if a blog will accept that. There are plenty of reasonably priced bloggers out there to advertise with too so don’t be afraid to go there.

4. Work your Social Media. Pinterest is your best friend. Tell your Facebook, Twitter and Google+ followers when you update your blog. Comment sincerely on other blogs. Link up with link parties.

5. Host a giveaway. This is a great way to get people excited about your blog. You can partner with a brand or you can provide your own giveaway to generate buzz. Select what you want your readers or potential readers to do, to enter and get started.

6. Remain patient. Your blog is like a seedling. It starts out small. It needs attention and patience, but it will grow. Continue to take care of it. Make the effort to put forth great quality content and it will grow. As it grows you will begin to see the fruits of your labor and why it is all worth while.
